Conflict in Afghanistan
Expert commentary by Paul Pillar
September 28, 2009

Center for Peace and Security Studies professor Paul Pillar looks at the effects of U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East, and provides his own thoughts on the U.S. efforts in Afghanistan.  Pillar provides his opinions about the potential for terrorist safe havens within Afghanistan, and whether or not these are contingent upon the U.S. military presence in the region.
