Expert commentary by James Reardon Anderson

In light of the imminent 30th anniversary of Sino-American relations, Associate Dean of Georgetown’s Foreign Service School James Reardon Anderson discusses the nature of this relationship over the past three decades, and where it stands today.  He comments on how this relationship has been affected by the new U.S. Administration.  Additionally, Anderson addresses the role of China as a major world power and the importance of China’s current role in the global arena.
