New Student Convocation 2009
McTighe Prize winner Miranda Rose Hall
August 30, 2009

"This time two years ago, I was running a little late to my own freshman convocation, and I realized on the way that I’d grabbed the wrong bag, forgotten my robe and locked myself out of my room. I remember feeling excited and terrified and completely overwhelmed by all of these distinguished, collegiate voices."

Miranda Rose Hall (COL '11) winner of the McTighe Prize, addresses the incoming class of 2013 at the New Student Convocation on August 30, 2009. Hall spoke to the new students about finding herself at Georgetown and giving them inspiration for their own college careers at Georgetown.
