James V. Schall, S.J. Award 2008
Address by recipient Professor Ralph McInerny

Dr. McInerny receives the first James V. Schall, S.J. Award for Teaching and Humane Letters. In his address, entitled "There was a Man! On Learning to be Free," he discusses the work of Georgetown University's political philosopher, Fr. James Schall, as well as the importance of faith and liberal learning.

This event was sponsored by the Tocqueville Forum on the Roots of American Democracy.
