Tondorf Road Closes to Make Way for Science Center
Starting April 13, a portion of Tondorf Road will be closed to allow for preliminary construction work on the new science center, University Facilities announced.

VIEW MAP

The road will be off limits to most vehicle traffic between the Leavey Center and North Road so utility lines may be relocated underneath the roadway for the new facility.

Access between the construction site and North Road will be limited to emergency and service vehicles, drivers with handicapped permits to park near the Bunn Intercultural Center (ICC) and those with permits to deliver to Harbin Hall, the Davis Performing Arts Center and Bunn ICC.

The closure means changes for people who park in the Leavey Center. The eastern P-3 level entrance to Leavey garage, across from Bunn ICC, will permanently close. The western P-3 entrance on West Road across from Yates Field House, for those who enter the Leavey garage from Canal Road will reopen and be used instead.

Leavey garage access for parkers who enter from Reservoir Road on the P-2 level will remain unchanged. Pedestrian access also will not be affected.

Questions about the road closure may be sent to Diann Smith in the Office of Transportation Management.
