Tim Shriver is the chairman of Special Olympics, where he has served for 11 years and grown the organization by 1.5 million new athletes around the world. In his washingtonpost.com column, Religion From the Heart, he explores how the inner life of faith matters in our sense of self, in our relationships and in the public square.
E.J. Dionne is a columnist for the Washington Post, faculty member at Georgetown University and Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution. |

WHAT:

The Georgetown Public Policy Institute and the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace and World Affairs will host an intimate discussion of the roots of faith in public service with Washington Post columnists Tim Shriver and E.J. Dionne. They will discuss the role of faith in their lives as they charted their careers. More generally, they will also consider the roles of faith and service in the education of youth, public policy leaders and foreign policy decision makers today.
