The Senate Judiciary Committee's Agenda in the 111th Congress
February 9, 2009

The Honorable Patrick J. Leahy (D-Vt), Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, speaks as part of the 2009 Marver H. Bernstein Symposium on Governmental Reform.

Senator Leahy hopes that the committee will be able to rebuild America's trust in the justice system by achieving greater government accountability.  He discusses his wish to create a truth commission to examine and discuss mistakes of the past administration in order to prevent their reoccurrence.
