Can Government Work? Georgetown Public Policy Institute to Host Symposium on Current Public Policy Challenges
WHO:
More than a dozen distinguished experts will discuss solutions to three of the most vexing public policy problems we face today: rising health care costs despite millions of uninsured Americans; global warming; and the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen will give the keynote address.
WHAT:
President Obama has called for a stronger federal government role in broadening health insurance while controlling costs, diversifying energy sources and reducing carbon dioxide emissions, and stimulating economic growth.
