WHAT:

The English Department’s Lannan Literary Programs will host a reading featuring Henrietta Rose-Innes, winner of the Caine Prize for African Writing and the 2008-2009 Caine Prize Writer-in-Residence at Georgetown University. Ms. Rose-Innes of South Africa has published two novels, Shark's Egg (2000) and The Rock Alphabet (2004), and is writing a third. She currently works as a literary editor and TV/film scriptwriter and script editor. She also tutors a seminar in Writing for TV at the University of Cape Town. She will be at Georgetown from January 23, 2009 through February 20, 2009. Reception follows.
