The Legacy of Reinhold Niebuhr and the Future of Christian Realism
David Brooks and E.J. Dionne, Jr. will discuss the lasting impact of Reinhold Niebuhr and Christian Realism on American political and theological ideas. They will reflect upon the past presidential election and the future problems and dilemmas facing the new administration, in light of Obama citing Niebuhr's influence on his own ideas about politics and governance. Public radio host Krista Tippett will moderate the discussion, and portions of the program will appear on her weekly show, Speaking of Faith. |
