An Interview with Heidi Elmendorf

Biology professor Heidi Elmendorf discusses how members of the community can share their knowledge of science, technology, engineering and mathematics with students of all ages by partnering with local schools and classrooms.

Heidi Elmendorf is Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology. Her research centers on cellular and molecular biology , particularly the protozoan parasite Giardia lamblia, which infectious for humans, is found in fresh water throughout the world and because of poor sanitation conditions is perhaps the most common human parasite.
