Georgetown to Host Discussion on Grief and Reconciliation with Bereaved Israeli and Palestinian Families
WHO:
  • Members of the Parents Circle - Families Forum, Israeli and Palestinian individuals and families who have lost immediate family members to violence in the region
  • Moderator: Fathali Moghaddam, psychology professor and director of the Conflict Resolution Program, as well as author of several books on terrorism, intergroup and intercultural relationships, and global conflict resolution
WHAT:

Georgetown will host members of the Parents Circle - Families Forum, an organization of bereaved families from Israel and Palestine, in a discussion exploring grief and reconciliation as steps to peacebuilding in Israel and Palestine. Professor Fathali Moghaddam will moderate the discussion.

Members of the Parents Circle will be participating in a three-day conflict resolution workshop at Georgetown on Oct. 29-31 and are available to share their stories on an individual basis. To request an interview please contact Rachel Pugh.
