Michael Eric Dyson discusses issues or race in his lecture entitled, "No Dreams Deferred?: Black Aspirations from Martin Luther King Jr. to Jay-Z." Following the speech, Professor Dyson took questions from students, faculty, staff and invited guests.

Georgetown University Professor Michael Eric Dyson is a renowned scholar and cultural critic on issues of race, religion, popular culture, and contemporary issues in the African American community. Named by Ebony as one of the hundred most influential black Americans, Dyson has authored sixteen books, including Holler if You Hear Me, Is Bill Cosby Right? and I May Not Get There With You: The True Martin Luther King Jr.
