Georgetown University held its two hundred and seventh commencement exercises May 18-21, 2006. Georgetown graduates earned nearly 1,700 undergraduate degrees, and more than 2,500 graduate, medical and law degrees, and the campus welcomed thousands of friends and family members to celebrate with the graduates.
Graduates heard from a variety of speakers, including:
Professor Robert Axelrod, The Honorable Richard N. Haass, former VH1 and WNBA Chief Operating Officer, Ann Sarnoff, filmaker Ken Burns; Brother Rick Curry, Founder and Artistic Director, Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr., and Dr. M. Joy Drass, President, Georgetown University Hospital.
Georgetown University holds individual commencement ceremonies for each undergraduate and professional school after a series of awards ceremonies and celebrations on campus beginning with senior convocation on Thursday, May 18.
