Egypt's Day of Wrath
January 31, 2011

Georgetown professors Adel Iskandar and Tamim Al-Barghouti gave a 360 assessment of the state of play of the Egyptian protests.

Dr. Al-Barghouti assessed the differing roles of the police forces and the military, the composition that the coalition seems to represent and the broader implications for the region and for the U.S. in particular.

Mr. Iskandar illuminated the media climate and the media landscape that precipitated the situation, beginning with a historical contextualization of the media industry in Egypt.
